• Mrs. Stefanie Childers grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. She moved to Texas for college, where she attended and graduated from Schreiner University with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Childers and her husband, Nick, have three children—Gracie, Peyton, and Weston—who all attend Leadership Prep. This year marks her 14th year of teaching and her fourth year teaching kindergarten at Leadership Prep. She feels blessed to have a job that brings joy to her life every day and allows her to make a meaningful impact on the lives of herstudents. Mrs. Childers is passionate about bringing excitement and creativity into
    the classroom to engage her students and ignite a love of learning in them.

    Mrs. Lori Cohen holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and is certified to teach grades K–5. With over 30 years of experience in various educational roles, she demonstrates a deep commitment to student learning. This is her sixth year at LPS. Mrs. Cohen and her husband have four children, one of whom works as a paraprofessional at the Teel campus. Outside of school, she enjoys watching football and spending quality time with her family.

    Ms. Erynn Cannon is in her first year of teaching this year. She was previously a student teacher at the Leadership Prep Teel Campus last year. Before working at LPS, she taught preschool-aged children for 5 years while pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Teaching. She is so excited about being a first-year teacher at Leadership Prep Majestic Gardens and is looking forward to the year ahead. Ms. Cannon loves all things ocean, especially sharks, turtles, and dolphins. In her free time, she enjoys going on walks, painting, and spending time with her family.

    Ms. Debbie LaChance has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Texas Wesleyan University. She has been a teacher for over 20 years, and this is her fifth consecutive year teaching Kindergarten. She is a certified teacher K-6, and Art Ec -12th grade. Ms. LaChance's favorite hobbies are photography, reading, art and exercising.

    Ms. Leslie Reyes will be a student teacher this school year under the guidance of Ms. Debbie LaChance. She holds an associate's degree in Early Childhood Education and is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree. Leslie is filled with enthusiasm and eager to make the most of this exciting opportunity to learn and grow as a future educator. In her free time, she enjoys watching good movies, baking, and spending quality moments with her family. She looks forward to a year filled with both personal and professional development.

    Mrs. Esmilva Villegas Garbett will be serving as a student teacher this school year under the mentorship of Mrs. Stefanie Childers. She holds a degree in Pediatric Dentistry and is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in education. Prior to joining LPS, Mrs. Villegas gained two years of valuable experience working with Lewisville ISD, where she served as both a 5th-grade teacher and an LLI (Leveled Literacy Intervention) teacher. Fluent in three languages, Mrs. Villegas brings a rich cultural and linguistic perspective to her teaching. She is deeply passionate about learning and is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to grow as an educator through her experience at LPS. Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Villegas enjoys crafting, reading, traveling, and spending quality time with her family.
